New Hope Learning Center is a vital part of New Hope Ministries. The Learning Center is open weekdays from 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Our mission is to nurture children in Christian living. By staff example and curriculum choice, our children witness faith in action. Our curriculum teaches the six pillars of character, physical development, intellectual growth, and spiritual values. We teach the Golden Rule along with the values of respect, trustworthiness, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
The children participate in a variety of activities according to their interests. The children learn that they have freedom of choice, but not of consequences. Through interaction with others and by staff example, the children learn to use appropriate language and to be kind and fair. Children are responsible and accountable for their behavior, their choices, and their personal belongings.
The Learning Center provides full-time and part-time care for children ages 3-11. New Hope Learning Center is a State-licensed program. Each preschool and pre-kindergarten class has a certified teacher and a full-time trained teacher’s assistant. Fees vary according to programs and hours.
During the school year...
During the school year, the Learning Center provides quality childcare for school-age children and early educational classes for preschool and pre-kindergarten children. Preschool and Pre-K classes are from 8:30 –11:30 a.m. and from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Some children participate in our lunch program from 11:30-12:30. The Learning Center provides van service for all Stow-Munroe Falls students before and after school. Van service is also available for half-day kindergarten students. Extended care is provided both before and after school from 6:30-8:30 a.m. and from 3:30-6:00 p.m. for children ages 3-11.
The Learning Center is open year round with the exception of certain holiday and school breaks. The Learning Center provides care on snow days, conference days, and in-service days. School schedules and optional sign-up days are posted early so parents can plan their schedules.
During the summer recess...
During the summer recess, the Learning Center operates a Summer Camp weekdays from 6:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. for children ages 3-11. Summer Camp has weekly themes, guests, parties, crafts, and special activities. The children ages 3-6 go on a weekly field trip on Tuesday. The children ages 7-11 go on a weekly field trip on Thursday.
